Classes offered in my private studio in Burton Upon Trent
Skills: Getting to know your machine, threading, stitch settings, learning machine controls, basic pressing techniques, and essential sewing instruction classes for bridal alterations and clothing alterations. Projects: elastic waist pants or skirt, cushion cover, simple tote bag. Sewing machine and overlocker lessons are available, with an additional charge if you use one of my machines.
Skills based: inserting zippers, machined button holes, and basic clothing alterations, including bridal alterations.
Project based: casual tops—woven or knit, trousers, leisure wear, along with opportunities for sewing instruction classes.
Skilled based: advanced hem techniques, seam finishes, fitting, and flat pattern alterations are essential skills taught in our sewing instruction classes. Project based: students will work on lined jackets, collared shirts, jeans, and also explore bridal alterations and other clothing alterations.
